Writing reviews for my new Roomba Scheduler has been a very rewarding experience but it has also been difficult at times. When we created this website I vowed from the very beginning that I would be totally honest about my experiences and I have kept true to my word. While I have had my struggles with the iRobot Customer Care department (see my previous posts) I must say that it is important to remember that when you are dealing with any customer service representative you have to understand that they are human, and they do make mistakes. When my new Roomba Scheduler stopped charging about a month after I purchased it - iRobot picked it up via UPS and was to send me a brand new one. If at first you don't succeed...You know how the old saying goes "try, try again". And what I mean by that is -- be persistent and follow up with what you want. I have been in the customer service industry all of my working life. I know how hard it is to motivate and maintain customer service personnel and ensure they are providing World Class Customer Service to your customers. A company is only as good as its employees - and I am very happy to give kudos to one of iRobot's wonderful Customer Care Representatives who stands out above the rest of the folks I dealt with -- his name is Adam. By the time I reached Adam I was more than frustrated! I explained to Adam that while I absolutely loved the Roomba vac, I was holding off writing my final customer service reviews because I was so disappointed by the customer service I received. A Big Thank You to Adam from iRobot!I told Adam that my review conclusions on iRobot's Customer Care department would have to be based on how he handled my call. And honestly I really didn't think making that statement would matter - as I had told other reps the same thing. Adam was very empathetic and told me he took pride in his work and stood behind iRobot's products and their customer service. He personally followed up with me and completely restored my faith in iRobot's customer service department - which I assure you, was no easy task. My sincere gratitude goes out to Adam for helping me get my replacement Roomba Scheduler and all the necessary accessories. UPS picked it up on 09/21/05 and a little over a month later by 10/24/05 I have my new Scheduler and all the necessary accessories -- life is good! Please stay tuned as my robotic vacuum journey continues.
