Reason to Love iRobot!

With the invention of the iRobot Roomba for Pets, every pet-owner in the world can heave a big sigh of relief. We all love our pets, but they do have a tendency to leave evidence of their presence all around. If you've ever had to pick about a million dog hairs off your dress pants, or if your air conditioner filters often clog up with that unbeatable mixture of pet hair and dust, you know what we mean. Thank goodness iRobot's come up with an affordable method for clearing up the mess, short of exiling our fur-kids to the backyard!

Roomba 2, Fur 0

The smart folks at iRobot now offer two pet-friendly Roombas: the Roomba Discovery for Pets and the Roomba Sage for Pets. While Roombas already did a bang-up job on pet hair, said hair tended to glob up the works, leading to decreased effectiveness for your favorite household robots. The new models come with a special Easy Clean Brush, which can be effortlessly dehaired with the associated Easy Clean Brush tool. The reason Pet versions are offered only for the Discovery and Sage models is simple: the Easy Clean Brush isn't compatible with any other Roomba model at this time. You can be sure however, that iRobot is working on remedying that.

But what about...

...the pet dander, litter and the dirt your pet brings in? No worries -- the Roomba pet models will clean those up just as easily as it disposes of unwanted pet hair. As for how your pup or cat will react to your Roomba, fear not: unlike most vacuum cleaners, pets rarely have any trouble getting used to the unobtrusive Roomba. In fact, many have been known to sleep right through a cleaning cycle while others happily chase after it like a new toy.
