Looking for an low-price floorvac? Don't overlook Roomba Red, one of the most affordable high-quality vacuum cleaners on the market. If you haven't heard of a Roomba vacuum cleaner, you might be surprised to learn that it's a robot: one of a line of self-propelled smart vacuums made by the firm iRobot. Roomba products that use advanced robotic technology and electronics to move around a room, cleaning and learning as it goes. It can avoid obstacles and get under most furniture with no problems. It's well beyond most existing vacuums, both in its technology and cleaning ability, but it's the price that's most surprising. Red goes for $149 MSRP, while the flagship models, Discovery and Discovery SE, sell for less than $300.

Household robots: no longer a dream

iRobot's Roombas are simple robots, but they do an excellent job for the price. They've got the highest coverage rating of any floorvac, since they can get where most uprights and floorvacs can't.
