Roomba Pro Elite: Relax a Little!New Roomba Model 610 *SALE*
Check out the Roomba Pro Elite from iRobot if you're considering buying one of those newfangled robotic vacuum cleaners. You might have seen reviews on Roomba models before, touting their cleaning ability, their features, and their prices, and offering comparisons to conventional vacuums. iRobot's Pro Elite, a midrange Roomba model, offers all the best robotic cleaning features for a very nice price: $229.95 MSRP. It's not as expensive as the Discovery SE or brand new Scheduler and it's not as inexpensive as the Roomba Red, but it's ideal for multi-room cleaning at the touch of a button. It even comes with a remote control so you don't even have to get up to start it. Holy robotic vacuums, Batman!How does the Pro Elite and its siblings compare to the best conventional vacuum cleaners? The comparison is quite favorable, actually. Roombas tend to vacuum more efficiently than uprights or regular floorvacs, because they vacuum each area several times, can sense concentrations of dirt, and can fit under furniture with ease. Their sensors keep them from bumping into obstacles, too. When you factor in the price and the fact you don't have to lift a finger to vacuum, there's no real comparison. Unless you're scared of robots, Roomba wins. Making cleaning floors a thing of the pastCleaning has always been the bane of any homemaker. We've got dishwashers and clothes-washers and a few other labor-saving devices, but until recently floors had been left out. Now Roomba has taken most of the drudgework out of cleaning floors, and soon it will be joined by Scooba, which will mop and dry in one operation! Now all we need is a window-cleaning machine, and we've got it made.
