Special Features of the Roomba Red
The Roomba Red is one of the models of the robotic floor vac developed by iRobot. With the technology of iRobot, the size and shape of a vacuum cleaner has changed forever. The robotic models are about the same size in diameter as a small pizza and are very slim. This means they can easily fit under beds and low furniture to reach places that you could never reach without moving the furniture. All you have to do is select the size of room you want the floor vac to clean and watch it as it does the work for you. For example, the Roomba floor vac will clean a normal sized dining room floor in about 15 minutes. While you are doing the dishes, the floorvac is doing the floor.
This Red Roomba model is the least expensive Roomba vacuum cleaner in iRobot's floorvac fleet going for around $149. Along with doing an excellent job of cleaning up pet hair, this model has some impressive features, which include:
- A sensor that helps it find the dirt
- High powered vacuuming capability
- Automatic adjustment to any type of flooring
- Comes with 2 virtual walls, a battery and a three month supply of filters
- Accessories, such as a remote control and a wall mount are available
Other Models of the Roomba
The Red is not the only model of the robotic vacuums that iRobot sells. Other models include the Discovery and the Discovery SE and the newest model - Roomba Scheduler. These later models are a bit higher in price, but with each new model the product just gets better and better! All of iRobot's robotic products are worth the money, no matter which model you buy. Compare the different features to your standard upright vac and you will find that these little robot vacuums do a better job for the same money.
