Higher Prices From Roomba CompetitionRoomba® Blowout Sale!
The Roomba competition cannot really be classed as competition at all. The robotic vacuums available, such as the Karcher RC 3000 RoboCleaner and the Electrolux Trilobite 2.0, will cost you at least $1000. Compared with the lower prices of the iRobot floorvac, there is really no decision to make when it comes to finding a robotic floorvac for your home. The main competition to the iRobot Roomba comes from within the company itself among the different robotic floorvac models such as:
Why Bother With the Competition? When you compare the technology and the electronics of the robotic vacuum cleaners from iRobot to that of other companies and read the consumer reports iRobot, it is easy to see where the Roomba beats any other robots on the market. The Roomba Discovery, for example has everything you need in a vacuum. It has the rotating brushes you need for cleaning up dust and dirt, whether it is in the middle of the floor or around the sides. You just set it for the size of the room and watch it go. It cleans under the beds and under the sofa and when the job is done it goes back to home base. What more could you ask for? Every floorvac from iRobot works on batteries that last about three hours. The batteries come with the vac and so does the charger you need for when they wear down. According to consumer reports iRobot, the batteries last about three hours for hardwood floors, but less if you use the vacuum on carpet. Even so, it saves you a lot of work by not having to pull out the vacuum and move furniture to do a good cleaning job.
