Its official! The Roomba review results are in and consumers are going wild over this little robotic vacuum cleaner! The overwhelming majority of consumers who have done reviews on Roomba will tell you that this is one carpet and floor cleaning product that absolutely lives up to all the advertising hype. iRobot's robotic floorvacs really do work - and work well! This isn't just a gimmick robot toy - it is a real time saving device that does the vacuuming for you automatically! And if there is one precious commodity we all claim to need more of these days - it is time. Who among us wouldn't want to have their own little army of robots?
iRobot has successfully designed consumer robots that can:
Roomba Reviews: Two Thumbs Up!
The newest member of the Roomba fleet is the Roomba 580 - the most advanced model yet which was just released in the Fall of 2007. Now you can schedule the floorvac to turn itself on automatically and vacuum up to 4 rooms before it's battery needs charging again. Vacuum any time of the day or night - even if you aren't at home, set up a schedule for it to vacuum automatically 7 days a week if you'd like. And, when it is finished - it finds its way "home" to its docking station to recharge for the next scheduled voyage.
Are there opportunities for improvement?
Of course there are. Every product has its drawbacks and Roomba is no exception. However, the issues that Roomba faces are usually taken care of by the developers at iRobot when the next latest and greatest models are released. In other words, iRobot "listens" to its customers and does its best to make each model better than the last. For example: the Roomba 400/Discovery series, including the Roomba Scheduler - all had issues getting tangled up on rugs with fringed edges and sometimes they may try to eat a power cord or two. The New Roomba 500 Series robots feature dramatic improvements in navigation and floor coverage, edge and corner cleaning, brushes, filters and advanced anti-tangle technology.
Add the Scheduling capability to your existing Roomba
iRobot did not forget about all it's loyal customers who purchased earlier model Roombas such as Roomba Red and the 400/Discovery Series when they came up with the new scheduling technology features. In fact, because they have been listening to customer feedback all along - they made sure that the scheduling feature was compatible with older models. For a small charge, you can add the scheduling technology to your existing older model Roomba Floorvacs. That's right - you can upgrade the following models with scheduling capabilities:
Is Roomba affordable?
That's the best part! Roomba costs no more than an ordinary upright vacuum. You can get a Roomba Red for around $149, a Discovery model goes for about $279 and the new state of the art Roomba 500 Series Vacuuming Robots start at as little as $299.99.
